Entrance fees are charged per person, so a federal lands pass or the Isle Royale Season Pass waives the daily fee for the holder plus up to three adults (four total). A pass does not cover group camping reservations, ferry or seaplane fares, or Rock Harbor Lodge bookings. Several 2026 fee-free days (Feb 16, Oct 27, Nov 11) fall in the closure or shoulder season and are unusable here.

With a Federal Lands Pass, daily entrance fees will be waived for the pass holder and up to 3 adults (16 and up) traveling with the pass holder (4 total). ... To waive entrance fees with a Federal Lands Pass or Isle Royale Season Pass, said pass must be presented on-island.
