This site is an independent informational reference. It is not the National Park Service, and it is not a booking system.
The official source always wins. Park rules change, sometimes with little notice. If anything here conflicts with an official National Park Service page, a park alert, or a Recreation.gov booking system, that official source is correct and this site is not.
No affiliation
NationalParkEntry is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the National Park Service, Recreation.gov, the U.S. Department of the Interior, or any park concessionaire or booking operator. Park names are used descriptively to identify the places they name.
Informational only, no warranty
The information here is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We work from published official sources and record what we read, but we do not warrant that any answer is accurate, complete, or current at the moment you read it. Entry decisions are made by park staff under park rules, not by this site.
You are responsible for confirming requirements with the park before you travel. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on this site — including denied entry, cancelled plans, travel costs, or unused reservations.
Not booking, not availability
We do not sell, hold, reserve, or cancel anything. Every booking link sends you to an official system operated by someone else, subject to their own terms. We do not know whether a permit is still available; we only record whether one is required.
Acceptable use
You are welcome to read, link to, quote, and share these pages. Please do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other people, present its content as an official government source, or republish the dataset in a way that strips the sources and effective dates — those are what make it trustworthy.
Government content
Facts about park rules originate with the National Park Service and other federal agencies. Photographs used on this site are National Park Service staff works in the public domain, with credit lines recorded on the sources page. Our own writing, code, structure, and design are ours.
