No timed-entry or vehicle reservation is needed to enter Bryce Canyon in 2026. Entrance is $35 per vehicle. Check any visit date against the official 2026 rules.

The 2026 season at Bryce Canyon

This is what applies across the published season. Use the date checker below for a specific day.

No reservation is required to enter Bryce Canyon National Park in 2026. Some activities need their own permit.

An entrance fee or accepted pass is required on every visit, separately from anything below.

  1. Park entrance

    Required

    You must pay the park entrance fee or show an accepted pass.

    • Private vehicle: $35, valid for 7 days.
    • Motorcycle: $30.
    • Per person on foot or bicycle: $20.
    • An America the Beautiful pass covers this entrance fee. It does not cover any reservation or permit below.
    • IMPORTANT 2026 change: non-US residents aged 16 and over must pay an additional $100 per person on top of the standard entrance pass, unless admitted on an Annual or America the Beautiful pass. Cashless park.

  2. Timed entry

    Not required

    Nothing here is required in 2026.

    • No entry reservation or timed entry at Bryce Canyon.

  3. Vehicle, road, or corridor

    Not applicable

    Bryce Canyon National Park has no vehicle, road, or parking permit system.

  4. Shuttle

    Not required

    Nothing here is required in 2026.

    • Bryce Canyon shuttle is OPTIONAL, free, and needs no ticket or reservation. April 3 - May 8, 2026 and September 21 - October 18, 2026 the shuttle runs 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.; May 9 - September 20, 2026 it runs 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. In no area of the park is riding the shuttle mandatory - you may drive to every viewpoint. Pets are not permitted on the shuttle.

      • A campground reservation does not include the entrance fee. Bryce has no entry reservation for it to cover.

      Applies to Under-the-Rim Trail (22.9 miles, 7 campsites) and Riggs Spring Loop Trail (8.6 miles, 3 campsites plus 1 group site)

      • Cost is $10/permit + $5/person to obtain a permit. This is in addition to the park entrance fee.
      • Not needed for day hiking, including Navajo Loop, Queen's Garden or the Rim Trail.
      • Backcountry campsites are limited to 6 people per regular site and 15 per group site.
      • A North or Sunset Campground reservation does not include a backcountry permit, and neither covers the entrance fee.

An America the Beautiful pass is accepted here. It covers the entrance fee only. It does not cover a timed-entry permit, a vehicle reservation, a parking tag, a shuttle ticket, or an activity permit.

An Annual or America the Beautiful pass also exempts non-US residents from the $100 per-person surcharge. The Bryce Canyon park annual pass ($70) is sold to US citizens and residents only. A pass does not cover a backcountry permit or a campground reservation. It is not needed for the shuttle beyond proving admission.

From 2026 a fee-free day waives the entrance fee for U.S. residents. Other visitors still pay it, plus the $100 nonresident fee where it applies. A fee-free day never waives a reservation, a permit, or a booking fee unless the park says so.
