Release detail: Not a permit. This is the inverse of the shuttle-season closure: private vehicles are allowed only when the shuttle is not running - November 29 - December 25, 2026, and again from January 3, 2027 until the next shuttle season begins.

Exceptions and limits

Holiday shuttle service runs December 26, 2026 - January 2, 2027, during which the Scenic Drive closes to private vehicles again.
After January 2 the shuttle pauses until the next spring season (the 2026 season began March 7) and the Scenic Drive reopens to private vehicles.
