Kings Canyon National Park (Grant Grove and Cedar Grove areas), entered at the Big Stump Entrance Station on Highway 180 from Fresno. The same pass also admits you to Sequoia National Park (Ash Mountain Entrance Station on Highway 198) and the Hume Lake District of Sequoia National Forest.

Release detail: Sold on demand at entrance stations and visitor centers, or online in advance. Nothing sells out. The parks are CASHLESS at entrance stations — most credit/debit cards and Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay are accepted. Cash buyers must pre-buy a $35 7-day vehicle pass at the Sequoia Parks Conservancy store in the Kings Canyon Visitor Center (Grant Grove Village) before entering.

Fee detail: $35 private vehicle (1-7 days), $30 motorcycle (7 days, up to 2 motorcycles / 4 people), $20 per person on foot or bicycle (1-7 days), $70 park annual pass. Non-commercial groups of 16+ pay $20 per person, capped at $100 or $200. Commercial: sedan (1-6) $25 + $20/passenger capped at $75, van (7-15) $75, mini-bus (16-25) $100, motor coach (26+) $200.

Exceptions and limits

• Children under 16 do not need an entrance pass.
• Drivers hired for transportation only, and anyone holding a valid pass, are exempt from the per-person group fee.
• Schools and educational groups may qualify for an academic fee waiver (apply at least two weeks ahead).
• The 2026 NPS fee-free days waive the standard fee for U.S. citizens and residents only.
