Exceptions and limits

  • Nahuku's rainforest trail, bridge, and first 50 feet of cave are closed, with completion expected mid-August 2026.
  • Tree Molds Road has intermittent closures; the northern gravel access road is closed during construction periods.
  • Vehicles more than 25 feet long and 8 feet wide cannot access Uekahuna until repairs are complete.
  • Expect reduced parking, especially during eruptions and periods of high visitation.
