No. Nothing is required to enter Haleakalā National Park itself in 2026, but parts of the park are booked separately: Haleakala sunrise reservation, between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. It applies to Summit District of Haleakala National Park, covering the four highest parking lots: Summit (Pu'u'ula'ula), Haleakala Visitor Center, Kalahaku Overlook, and Leleiwi Overlook. No reservation is needed to enter the Summit District at any other time of day — arrive after 7:00 am and you need only the entrance fee.   - The Kipahulu (coastal) District is unaffected — this rule is Summit District only.
  - A Hosmer Grove campground booking or a wilderness campsite/cabin reservation does NOT cover summit sunrise entry. CRITICAL: neither an America the Beautiful pass nor a fee-free day gets you into the summit for sunrise. The $1 sunrise reservation is required on top of, and independently of, any pass or fee waiver.
