Release detail: Private boaters and private-seaplane arrivals should buy a digital pass on Recreation.gov in advance and print or download it, because there is no cell service or Wi-Fi at the park.
Fee detail: $15.00 per person age 16 and older, valid 7 consecutive days. Payment path depends on arrival mode: included in ferry tickets, collected by the seaplane operator before departure from Key West, or bought as a digital pass by private boaters. Cash is not accepted for the boathouse purchase.
Exceptions and limits
- Anyone 15 years old or younger is exempt, including international visitors.
- Entrance fees are not required for those simply transiting through the park without stopping.
- Accredited educational and scientific institutions can apply for a fee waiver at least two weeks in advance.
- Fee-free days waive the entrance fee.
