Release detail: Self-guided permits must be reserved online at least two days before the trip date and at most seven days in advance - a narrow 2-to-7-day rolling window. No permits can be reserved in person. Permits must be picked up at the visitor center the day before or day of, at one of these orientation film times: 8, 8:30, 9, 9:30, 10 a.m. and 2, 2:30, 3, 3:30 p.m.
Fee detail: $10 per person for a Self-Guided Fiery Furnace Exploration Permit. The ranger-led Fiery Furnace hike is $16 per person. Both are separate from the entrance fee.
Exceptions and limits
- Children under age 5 are not permitted on either the self-guided permit or the ranger-led hike.
- Pets are prohibited.
- Commercial groups are not permitted in the Fiery Furnace.

Permits must be reserved online at least two days prior to the trip date, with a max of seven days in advance. Group size is limited to six people and children under age five are not allowed. Fiery Furnace permits are valid for a specified date and for day-use only (sunrise to sunset).
